Full-grooming services are available for all breeds of dogs and cats.
The Barking Dog, in Scottsdale offers full-grooming services available for all breeds of dogs and cats. In addition to bathing and clipping, we offer dematting, medicated, flea, de-skunking and FURminator treatments. If pet hair and shedding is an issue, we can help. Our FURminator treatment is incredibly effective in removing loose hair from dogs. This service is only offered as part of a full groom and is not available with the boarding bath special. Please inquire for pricing and appointment details. If you wish to have your pet groomed while boarding, we encourage you to make arrangements when you book your pet’s stay. All pets groomed during a three or more night stay receive a 20% discount on their groom.
Meet Katie, Our Expert Pet Groomer!
Scruffy to Fluffy
Katie has been a professional pet groomer for over a decade, and since March 2024, we’ve been lucky to have her on our team at The Barking Dog. She began her journey at the PetSmart Grooming Academy, where she honed her skills during a rigorous training program followed by a six-month apprenticeship. Over the years, Katie has not only mastered the art of grooming but has also mentored young apprentices, sharing her wealth of knowledge and passion.
Katie’s favorite breeds to groom are Shih Tzus and King Charles Cavaliers—she finds their personalities as charming as their looks! She’s skilled in all breed cuts but loves getting creative with styles like Mohawks and fun, unique patterns.
Outside of grooming, Katie enjoys Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and treasures the time she spends with her husband and their two dogs, Tank and Annie.
